This was an old family recipe that we've been eating for years. It's simple, and has wonderful flavor and texture, but brings a ready-to-eat version of our tofu. In this case, you can heat it, grill it or eat it right out of the package. It's a great hors d'oeuvre, appetizer, great for sandwiches, and for any of your vegetarian friends, if you happen to not be a vegetarian, this tofu grills up incredibly. And even for the non-vegetarians, people will be incredibly surprised that tofu can taste like this. Our Original Savory Baked Tofu has a wonderful marinade that's simple yet full-flavored, and really shows off the quality and texture of our Organic Firm Tofu. It is moist and tender, not rubbery or leathery, and not too salty. This and all of our baked tofus are celiac-friendly, containing no wheat or gluten (we use organic wheat-free tamari soy sauce). Check out our infused flavor savory baked tofus as well. Ideas for using Savory Baked Tofu: Cubed up and used in salads (instead of chicken, use this in a caesar salad), or cubed up as soft croutons. A great addition to hash-brown potatoes; as the center of a sandwich; sliced in strips for hors d'oeurves; or served on a cracker. It's ready to eat right out of the package and makes a great snack.
